From GanttHive
We encourage everybody to download and play with this build, paying special attention to the features listed below. Please note that they are not yet completed, there are tons of bugs, etc. We expect to hear your general impressions rather than detailed bug reports. We just want to understand if we are moving in the right direction
It is a development snapshot. DO NOT USE it for you real projects.

System requirements
Any modern computer running Windows, Linux or MacOSX with Java 5.0 (aka Java 1.5) installed. It is expected that "java" executable is accessible from your command line (which is known as "Terminal" on MacOSX, "Command Line" on Windows and "xterm" on most Linux systems). Type "java -version" to ensure that your Java is working fine
New features
Business hours
If you use hour-level granularity for your tasks, you may want to specify start and end hours of your business day. They were strictly fixed in the First Milestone, now you can setup them when you create a new project.
Simple cost management
Wondering how much does your project cost? You can do a rough estimation in GanttProject. Every task has a "cost" field and cost of supertasks is automatically calculated from subtasks, so at the top you get the total cost of your project. In the future we will implement automated calculation of a task cost from the cost of assigned resource
Task properties dialog
Hide fields you don't normally use and show them only when you need them. Use autocompletion in resource assignment table. See invalid input values highlighted with red background
Milestones
You've been waiting it for so long: milestones take zero time now.
Acknowledgments
- Thanks to a team of students from EPITA who contributed cost management functionality.
