Talk:Requirements:GanttProject 2.1
From GanttHive
Is it possible to include a financial feature (added to the resources)?
I would like to see ETC and EV type fields.
from jcm-- yes, Earned Value features would be very useful. It's critical in large project management and would likely encourage large scale adoption of the product.
Also, tasks should ideally be thought of in terms of the volume of work and the type of work. For example, if a task requires 80 hours of an electrical engineer, the level of effort (hours per week/day etc) should be reflected in the time span over which the work is done. In one week, it would show 2 full time equivalents(FTE); in two weeks, 1 FTE, etc. With this approach the project constants are maintained (amount of work) and the project variables remain variable (when, and whom does the work).
outlook task exchange
iS IT POSSIBLE TO DO EXCHANGES WITH MICROSOFT OUTLOOK TASK,
Automatic plan calculation
It is possible to implement a automatic calculation for plans? The case:
- I've made a a lot of task's.
- Then I set the holiday for a resource ( the time is into the project timeline)
I think after I input the holiday of the person, Ganttproject should popup a window and ask:
- There are a time conflict between resource XXXX and Project-Part YYYY.
- Fit the project.
- cancel holiday.
- ignore the conflict.
The other thing is, that it make sense that every resource has it's own workdays (So we have persons that are only work a view days per week). -- C.hahn 13:58, 14 March 2007 (MSK)
Regional Settings NOT Minor
Date format criteria is [[NOT]] Minor Requirement. Most Non-U.S. locations use sequential date formats, either dd/mm/yy or yy/mm/dd (with varying grouping delimiters) If we want to make GanttProjecct THE international standard (and I do!) then international region date
